What is SideBoo?

SideBoo is a free Chrome extension that turns ⌘K — Ctrl+Shift+K on Windows and Linux — into one search box for your open tabs, browsing history, bookmarks and recently closed pages. It works in any Chromium browser, has no account and no server, and runs its AI grouping and summaries on your own OpenAI, Claude or DeepSeek API key. Install it free from the Chrome Web Store.

THE PROBLEM

After tab 40, your tab bar stops being navigation

A tab strip splits its width between everything you open, so each tab shrinks until only the favicon is left. On a full-width desktop window that lands somewhere around forty tabs; on a laptop it happens sooner. Past that point you are not reading titles any more — you are clicking favicons and hoping.

Does SideBoo upload my history?

Never. Your history, bookmarks and open tabs stay on your device.

Does it support Windows and Linux?

Yes. Suggested shortcuts are Command + K on Mac and Ctrl + Shift + K on Windows/Linux; you can change them in Chrome extension shortcuts.

Does AI require payment?

The free plan works with your own API key; Pro will include credit.

How is it different from Chrome tab search?

It also searches history and bookmarks, and can clean up, group and save sessions.

Does it support Edge, Arc and Brave?

Any Chromium browser can install it through the Chrome store.

How do I remove it and clear data?

Remove the extension in your browser's extension manager and the data is cleared.
