SideBoo is a free Chrome extension that turns ⌘K — Ctrl+Shift+K on Windows and Linux — into one search box for your open tabs, browsing history, bookmarks and recently closed pages. It works in any Chromium browser, has no account and no server, and runs its AI grouping and summaries on your own OpenAI, Claude or DeepSeek API key. Install it free from the Chrome Web Store.
A tab strip splits its width between everything you open, so each tab shrinks until only the favicon is left. On a full-width desktop window that lands somewhere around forty tabs; on a laptop it happens sooner. Past that point you are not reading titles any more — you are clicking favicons and hoping.

Lose the latest tab, waste memory, interrupt the flow.
An endless tab sea breaks your train of thought.
Open it on sites where Chrome allows extensions; internal and store pages show an unsupported-page hint.
Titles, URLs and initials all match with fuzzy tolerance.
Switch windows or use ⌘↵ to open quietly in the background.
Tabs, history, bookmarks and recently closed — one search.
Jump straight to the right window.
Recently closed pages return in one keystroke.
Find and merge repeated pages automatically.
Quick entry points ranked by visits.
Choose, open and background-open without leaving the keys.
Find it even with typos or half a term.
Indexes and history stay in your browser.
You have 62 tabs across 3 windows. I grouped them by topic:
It sees what you have open and suggests grouping, summaries and cleanup.
There is no account to create and no SideBoo server to talk to. The search index, your history and your AI key are written to your browser’s local storage and never leave this profile. The one time bytes do go out is a request you triggered yourself — and it goes straight to the model endpoint you configured, not through us.
Type the few words you remember and return to the right page immediately. Stop counting tabs.
